Committee Roles:

 
Restaurant and Drink Vendor Relations:
Identify and Solicit Restaurants and Drink Vendors
Assist with collecting restaurant ingredient forms
Assist with Marketing for Restaurants and Drink Vendors
Assist with Restaurant and Drink Vendor Communication
Assist with setup of Bars and Restaurants the night of the event
Ensure all restaurants and drink vendors are appropriately thanked for their support
Fundraising and Donor Relations:
Commit to attending and supporting the Gala at a sponsorship level that is personally meaningful
Identify and solicit sponsors
Participate in friend-raising (fund the need) to fill the room
Partner with Arkansas Foodbank staff in developing and executing individualized stewardship strategies for top donors and prospects attending the Gala
Ensure that all Gala attendees are appropriately thanked for their support
Auction and Student Bowl Donor Relations
Identify and solicit auction donors
Arrange for pick-up and delivery of all auction items
Photograph and categorize all auction items for digital display
Work with Event Planner on display of the auction items
Work with Community Develop Coordinator for night of support (set-up, spotters and help with check out)
Ensure all donors are appropriately thanked for their support
Entertainment and Décor:
Determines decorations needed based on theme
Solicits donations to execute needed items
Coordinates table settings, place cards, centerpieces, etc.
Helps the Chair select the entertainment, emcee, guest speaker and auctioneer
Helps the Event Coordinator with the photographer, photo booth, musical entertainment, and potentially production crews
Volunteer Recruitment and Event Management:
Recruits and energizes volunteers
Works with all event committees
Identifies volunteer needs and determines how to meet those needs
Communicates with Volunteers
Organizes and Delegates event setup, needs throughout the event and tear down tasks
Awareness Building:
Advocate for Arkansas Foodbank and the Gala in the community
Provide input and help with creation of Gala communications strategies and materials
