Hunger Statistics in Arkansas

Did you know that 17.2% of Arkansans do not know where their next meal is coming from (2nd worst in the nation). Over 260,000 Arkansans face food insecurity in our 33-county service area (over 70,000 are children). A more troubling statistic is that one in four children are at risk for hunger in Arkansas; in rural counties, it can be as many as one in THREE. Our Arkansas seniors face the threat of hunger as well--one in five.
